DEMI'S POV. I looked down and took another step. The warm sand felt nice on my feet, and the sounds of the waves calmed me. If you saw me, you wouldn't believe that I was just a bloody mess only an hour or two ago. I'm Demi Lovato. I am fifteen years old, and I have one brother, Nick. He has been abusing me ever since my parents got into a car crash. He blamed their deaths on me. Now, I get beaten every day. But I try to stay positive. I get straight A's in school. I play volleyball, soccer, basketball, and softball. And best of all, I have the two best friends ever, Joe and Selena. Joe is amazing. But he's really pervy. Selena is so sweet. She's always there for me. Joe and Selena don't know about Nick abusing me. No one does. I live in Hawaii with Nick. I take walks on the beach whenever I want to get away from him.
